Triathlete and ASEA athlete Mike DiDonato competes in road race events at distances of 5k, 10k, half marathon (13.1 miles), sprint triathlons (16 miles), Olympic triathlons (32 miles), and Half-Ironman (70.3 miles), but he doesn’t do it alone. His friend Kyle Brodeur races with him in a wheelchair built for speed. They’ve been competing together since 2011, but the pandemic has given them some time to reflect on what the future holds for their racing team.
“Kyle has been doing great,” says Mike. “He’s excited to be racing again. Between COVID-19 and my recovery after surgery, it’s been a long time since we’ve rolled together. He was so excited about racing again that he has already started training.”
Supplements for recovery
Every day, Mike wakes up early to stretch, do a light workout, and get his mind and body prepared for the next competition, mostly through hydration and by taking ASEA® products. Mike has been using ASEA products for training and recovery during races for the last five years.
Even when he couldn’t train while recovering from surgery on his hernia, he continued to take ASEA Redox Cell Signaling Supplement. Now back to training, his goal is to begin competing again as soon as possible. He has even hired a coach to help push him and hold him accountable.
Products for professionals
“Our race times have gotten better since I started taking ASEA® Redox,” says Mike. “I am able to train the next day after a hard race because ASEA Redox helps me recover quickly. Prior to taking it, I would need a day or two off after a difficult race because I would be extremely sore. Between drinking ASEA Redox and applying RENU28® Revitalizing Redox Gel to ease muscle discomfort after a workout, I can look forward to the next workout almost immediately. I’m really grateful as an athlete to have these products in my life.”
